Darts headed off to Charlton Park hoping to keep up their momentum in the league. Alan O'Neill at prop and Scott Woodley on the wing were making their debuts and with skipper Tom Ball coming back from injury and Dan Phillips in at 10 the team were confident they could get the win against a team that have struggled on occasions this season. Despite being against a larger and older pack the forwards held their own and honours were even. In the line out Craig Curley and Kenny Lee despite starting a little scrappily took control and were in the end giving the backs some good front foot ball. A new half back combination of Tom Mothersole and the coach's younger "brother" were playing well and giving NGH, Billy Wilson and Scott Woodley space to run in. The 2nd to last try was a cracker with Dan Phillips starting the move inside his own 22 and saw the ball move though many sets of hands before NGH put the finishing touch for probably the best try scored by the team this season. Tom Mothersole again showed his great kicking skills by converting 8 of the 9 tries. Joe Austen back into the side at full back scored a hat trick of tries and it is good to see him playing well again after his bad injury. Man of the match went to Ed Young who was tireless at openside. A good win for the team which despite the wide margin wasn't as one sided a match as it may seem . Darts had to work for all their tries which all wnet through several phases and were a product of great team play.
