It was a hard fought game and Dartfordians started strongly with Veteran Dan Phillips sniping over from close range after a solid Dartfordians driving maul to take a narrow lead. However, Medway soon made their presence felt by scoring three tries in quick succession. Chasing the game, the lemons responded with Dan Golding going over from another Dartfordians driving maul showing that the pack were again showing their dominance. Dan Phillips from scrum half showing and impressive turn of Pace to leave would be tackler grasping at thin air. Despite these tries, Medway continued to strike back and despite Lee Kernot's push over try from a driving maul near the final whistle, the lemons fell to a hard fought 27-38 defeat.
Man of the match went to Ed Heylen on his debut for the Lemons. With his aggressive carries and crunching tackles coach Whalo said after the game “the lad reminds me of a younger version of me, dynamic and hard as nails. We might have to keep him hidden from the 1st team for a few more weeks”
