The first round of the Kent waterfall took place on Sunday 12 Nov where Darts u12 Girls joined up with three girls from Sheppey to finish joint first of their group winning 2/3 games (7-1 vs Ashford, 6-3 vs Beckenham, 1-3 vs Dartford Valley) and qualifying to play in the finals for the cup and plate.

In the final Darts were again joined by the Sheppey Ewes to make a solid squad of 16 players. The girls put out a sterling performance, showing our rugby values and great team spirit with some girls playing for the opposition to ensure a full game could be played and enabling all the girls to get maximum playing time. Again winning 2/3 games (3-2 vs Beckenham, 1-4 vs Tonbridge Justin’s TJs, 3-0 vs East Kent Viragos) with try’s from Freya (2), Abbie, Talia, Elizabeth (2) and Lily-May and finishing second in the group to win the plate.

All coaches agreed that the team have grown from strength to strength over the season; welcoming new players, including the Sheppey Ewes, they have bonded as a team and supported each other to develop their rugby skills. In both attacking and defensive play, our girls are committed and resilient and work together to support each other on and off the pitch! And the Waterfall was no exception where the girls rose to the challenge and put 100% into their game to bring home a well deserved prize.
