Dartfordians U18 Girls Open Season with 50–0 Victory
Dartfordians U18 Girls made an emphatic start to their 2026/27 campaign with a 50–0 victory over TJ’s Academy.
The opening exchanges were competitive, with Dartfordians enjoying plenty of possession but occasionally frustrating themselves with handling errors and a succession of penalties. Once they settled into their rhythm, however, the pressure began to tell.
Amelia opened the scoring with a superb finish out wide, followed by an outstanding conversion from the touchline. Seren then added a second try after a quickly taken penalty, before another powerful run from Amelia extended the lead.
Dartfordians went into half time 19–0 ahead, but the second half saw the team really hit their stride.
Quick handling and strong running created space, with Kitty, Amelia, Chloe, Ola and Abi all getting on the scoresheet as Dartfordians continued to apply pressure. Anna and Amelie were particularly impressive with the boot, adding several conversions as the score moved rapidly beyond TJ’s reach.
There were plenty of changes in personnel and positions throughout the second half, but the intensity remained high. The Dartfordians scrum was particularly dominant, while the defence remained strong whenever TJ’s threatened to break forward.
With Dartfordians leading by more than 50 points on the field, the match was brought to an early conclusion in accordance with the competition's points-difference rule.
Official result: Dartfordians 50–0 TJ’s Academy
A convincing opening-day performance, with plenty of positives to build on. There is still work to do around discipline and handling, but the pace, power and attacking intent shown by the U18 Girls provide plenty of encouragement for the season ahead.
