'Cometh the hour cometh the men !' Congratulations to the Dartfordian
u12 victorious rugby team who scattered all who came before them in
miserable, testing conditions to attain the crown of Foxbury Cup
Champions 2010.
They played with a wisdom and maturity that belied their ages trusting
to their Rugby knowledge and belief in their team mates like a phalanx
of Spartan warriors who's strength depends on their ability to work as
one and their implicit trust in their comrades in arms.
Whilst some of the score lines were close their belief and confidence in
their own abilities was never in doubt and any who came before them were
all ultimately worn away by a continuous display of controlled ball
re-cycling, clever back positioning and breath taking support play.
In fairness the final against Cranbrook never really looked in doubt.
For once..... their resolve seemed set . Whilst other teams faltered in
abject conditions the Trojan hoard of Dartfordians U12's seemed to
become more focussed as the day went on.
To highlight individual exception would take away from their most
accomplished achievement, that of genuinely playing as a team , but to
deny the Dartfordian faithful the names of their most heroic sons would
also be an injustice.
Thus they should be named as per the attached photo... Titans ALL !!!
