Dartfordians RFC is sad to announce the recent news about an old friend, Graham Haggar.

Graham was in the same school year & actually the same class as our own Tony Barrett & Paul Govier.

He was such an ebullient character in everything he did.

He had a short spell at Darts just after leaving school, but lived down in Gravesend & subsequently joined them where he was Chairman & President for many years. Although very much local rivals, Graham was a great host & always made Darts welcome when we visited Gravesend. You need opposition to make our game what it is and Graham was without doubt a superb host and always held a fond spot in his heart for Dartfordians.

He joined William D’Aeth lodge in 1982 when he was 38 and threw himself into masonry with his usual enthusiasm. He was Master 1994 and 95 and then did sterling work as secretary for best part of 20 years.

He will be greatly missed by all the rugby fraternity who had the pleasure of knowing him and our thoughts go out to all at Gravesend RFC and Graham's friends and family.
