The 100th Anniversary season was over, but the celebrations continued with the end of season Senior Club Supper & Awards evening...thank you to all of the players who represented the club in the 2023/24 season and congratulations to the Mens 1st team who won promotion to SouthEast Regional 2.

About 100 of the senior mens & womens players and coaches across the club sat down to the usual excellent food cooked up by Steve and his team, whilst being taking refreshment thanks to Megan and her team behind the bar - thank you to you all.

Staggy kicked off the speeches covering the Saints and Vets, as well as doing a little piece for the Angels. The club's lower sides are hugely important to the whole, so I would like to thank all involved.

Joe Carey covered off the Demons and tried to make sense of the speech provided by Demons skipper John O'Brien, who could not be there. The Demons had a decent season and many who had to step up to the 1s never let the side down.

Chantell was up next and talked through our Womens teams season and it was great to see so many of them at the event and the side is a important addition to our wider offering.

Then it was time to hear the speech and test the technical abilities of the club's co-captains Jarlath Hetherington and Lewis Potter who led the squad to promotion success. It was also great to see Head Coach, Chris Spedding, enjoying the promotion evening after the game with Dover - we will leave that there I think...

Congratulations to all of the winners and to the players - we will need all to make sure they are available for the 2024/25 season which is set to be another tough, but enjoyable one....
