Darts see off another local rival

Darts had another local rival visiting Bourne Rd and in the first half they had to work hard against a determined team. The Demons gave a debut to Ade Ojigbo in the backs who had a good game despite this being only his 4th senior game of rugby as he still plays at school. Danny Clive was also welcomed back to the club and Sam Allen was playing following a 5 match break. Darts were dominant in the scrum and as well as being strong in that department Danny Clive also showed some great work in open play setting up the first try. Kenny Lee and Jamie Clifford were excellent in the lineout winning their own ball as well as disrupting the visitors making it difficult for them to launch any attacks on the front foot. Cieron Kent again played well at fly half and was supported well by Booboo Crouch. Although it was tight in the first half the Demons stretches away in the second half and Nathanael Grant-Hines was able to score a hat trick of tries to give the impression of an easy win but this was match when all the team had to work really hard. Jamie (Birdy) Clifford was man of the match for his lineout and all round play and should be pushing for promotion soon in addition to Cieron Kent who was setting up the line well.
