A great win fo the Demons against a strong Brocks team

Darts visited Brocks looking to continue their unbeaten run with probably their biggest test to date with the home team looking to emulate last seasons 40 point victory. For the Demons they were looking to get revenge for that difficult day. The match started at a steady pace with the Lemons securing territory through a couple of penalties and the ever accurate ball from hand by Ali Barker. Bocks disrupted the flow of our game with a turnover at the lineout and showed why they are in the top half of the table. Quick hands across the back line and a series of offloads saw them make 50 yaards but then were turned over. The first quarter continued in the same fashion with Brocks pounding on the Lemons doorbut they were unable to breach the line. The first breakthrough came after 20 minutes despite tremendous defensive efforts by Tom Adams, Bxley Uwaibi and Ali Barker to name but a few. In true Lemons style we bounce d right back. Shoring up our defence and putting pressure on their 10 it was Lewis Barrett who intercepted a loose pass and made a dash for the line. The supporting Matt Moon was on hand to run it under the posts and has been the case all year Ali added the extra points. The first half ended with the forced substitutions when skipper John O'Brien and th impressive Fin Nichols both had to leave the fireld with tweaks in their hamstrings ,although JOB was able to return after half time it was the end of the match for Fin.
Asthe second half got under wayit was clear to see the game plans from both teams Brocks were fiercely dominant up front and made ground at every maul with Beexley Ted and Billy put in monstrous efforts to en their progress. The pressure from the Demons paid dividends once again, this time with Ali putting pressure on the10 and charging the ball down. The tip through was so deft he lft himself with the simplest of touchdowns to secure Dars second try He landed the extra points to take th score to 5-14. Brocks were no way out of the game however and the final 20 minutes of brutal pack work couples with som poor kicking choices when keeping the ball in hand may have better kept the pressure on. A massive defensive effort from the Demons in the last quarter saw the game turn in our favour when two penalties in quick succession allowed them make a rare second half entry into the home 22. A quick movement off the lineout saw Brocks infringe once more in the centre of the field. Ali then added the final 3 points to bring this nail biting game to an end.
Another great performance from the Demons with a young side whose confidence is buoyed by every win against a very strong and good Brocks team. Young Fin Siegel was man of the match.
