On a day when

On a day when the biggest challenge should have been picking a screen the Mighty Lemons had something else on their mind...Payback.
It was this fixture last year whah saw the Demons end their unbeaten run and relinquish control of the lrague table. Oh what a difference year makes... The game started with the Demons intent clear for all to see- run these big boys ragged.. The game plan of changing the point of attack, using runners behind the line and darting runs at a fatigued defence paiddiviedends very early on. Fullback Navi scored his first try off a quick pick and go from a ruck inside the 22 which is not what you would expect from this sprightly verteran. We saw some excellent footwork off the returning kick by Albie Peters who made 40 metres before offloading to his skipper , JOB made the executive decision to go to ground with the ball and a quick recycle saw us earn a penalty 10 metres from the line. An excellent call for a spike from the tap penalty got the ball to Max Mason feed the ball to the back line and Navi dashed through for his second try. Floodgates set to "ajar" The remainder of the first half saw us keep up this pressure with tries from George Keefe and Fin Nichols to gain the bonus point.
Darts were going out in the second half to drive home a very important point...we mean Business. This was helped by two further tries from George McLachlan and a completed hattrick from the Navatar himself . The scoreline however started to flicker.. Sheppey must hab=ve had their Weetabix on the train this morning because they kicked in during the third quarter. Two quick tries ran in on the outside of a very stretched defence saw them lay down a marker that they were going nowhere. That was to be their lot for the day however , a day when they managed to pull back a try bonus point from a game that should have been completely out of their grasp. The mighty Lemons will have lots to work on in the coming weeks but are still great value for 25 ourt of 25 points after 5 matches in the league. When asked for a comment at the end of the game skipper JOB responded with a no comment his mind clearly set on the big world cup match at 8.00pm. When we approached the team manager in lieu JOB once again responded " didnt I already tell you to **** off. Shame really he is usually such a jolly fellow.
Must have known the big result in advance.
