7 try Darts Gain revenge over good Brentwood side

In the corresponding away fixture Darts had one of only two defeats so far this season and were expecting another tough match against a very good Brentwood team. Darts started at a pace and quickly had the visitors on the back foot with Peter Essien especially looking dangerous. All the backs looked dangerous and were looking to move the ball wide at every opportunity Unfortunately for Darts skipper Tom Ball who has been unlucky all season with injuries had to leave the field with concussion and was replaced by Alex Shea. In the set piece Steve Garrett continued his improvement and was ably assisted in the front row by Martin Ryan. Darts scored some great tries with the ball going through many phases and tries came from Essien, Garrett, Kernott (2), Shea, Taylor and Roper. Callum Loyal has tremendous quality but since coming into senior rugby this year has been hampered by injury and his luck was out again today when he had to leave the field with a couple more including a broken wrist. Alex Shea was having a great match leading from the front and the match should have been won early in the second half but the visitors had different ideas and through their excellent fly half came back into the match taking the score to 29-22 at one stage however it was Darts who ended the game strongest and were worthy winners . Alex Shea was man of the match.
