A tight affair against Westcombe PK

A mixture of young and old faces came together fir the Angels against a strong Westcombe Pk 3's. The first 10 minutes were hectic with Westcombe scoring in the first 5 minutes and then with a chance to get level Darts dropped the ball on the line. Riley Horner as Captain quickly rallied the troops and rest the focus and it wasnt long before Dan Olding went over. The visitors then scored two tries with a couple of beakaways however a second try from Dan Olding and another from Craig Marchant put us back in contention. The second half was a fairly quiet affair with both teams evenly matched. Westcombe were pushing forward and scored another try to win the game for the vistors 26-15.
There was some great play from our forwards with our scrum dominant from the start and in the backs led really well by Danny Taylor and Riley Horner which kept the visitors on their toes. Thanks go to Tom Garrett and Tim Stagg for the late call to arms. and to our young players who in their first season of senior rugby are settling in really well.
